Don't know if you had any takers, but it's a nice idea and perhaps with a little more notice and a maybe a date on a weekend you'll get a few folk along?
If Blackwood had been nearer... It's getting a bit late in the year for fixing meet-ups, they tend to be spur of the moment events when the weather forecast is looking good. But if you've got the transport and somewhere for the night, why don't you try and get to either the Hallowistmas event in Burton on Trent - about two and a half hours from Newport - or the Squires chinwag, about three and a half hours. There's often a south of England get-together come December, too.
