If there's a competition for longest journey;

Holsworthy to Arran via m-ways - 530 miles + £103.32

Scenic route via Hereford (A49), the lakes and Galloway - 552 miles and £108

Scenic route wins, but blimey, don't know which is gonna hurt worse, my wallet or my arse

But I'll see you all up there anyway

That's me JUST sent my deposit for the campsite , my printer isn't working so I just put the information they wanted on the booking form in a letter with the cheque - so you could do that dabe. Maurice, the chap that owns the Seal Shore camp site asked that deposits need to sent now as he can't hold the pitches, and is starting to get other enquiries as it is Easter weekend. Fuel, Maurice also advised to get fuel at Morrisons before getting the ferry as it is approximately 20p per litre more on the Island eeeek!!!!!!! There is a Barb-e-Que area under cover at the site and Maurice has said that there is a big workshop if any minor repairs need to be done - on the bikes not us . There is a pub right next to the site and apparently there is also a Brewery on the Island with free tours that has just won awards for it's real ales. So if you definately coming, please get your deposits off, all the addresses etc are on the events pages. Katie xxxxxxx

BOBKAT @ 23/02/2012 08:58

That prize will undoubtably go to that blonde Geordie lass She thinks the Isle of Arran is that chunk of rock off the south coast! But, to be fair, at least she now knows that Solihull is not in Manchester!

If there's a prize for furthest travelled, I reckon it should be nice soft cushion. Preferably one of those doughnut ones!!

LOL Jerry, who told you my thoughts on a prize hehehe. Need to think of summit else now .................. Can I ask anyone who is not able to go to take their names off the list and off the events list - many thanks it's so I don't bore you with any pm's i'll be sending nearer the time of the camp. Sorry you can't make it - if you can't make hehe xx Hope those going have all send their deposits for a pitch at Seal Shore Oh forgot to say that you can get a ticket that lets you go onto the Island from the other ferry and leave from Brodick to Ardrossan - ideal for those wanting to travel up around Loch Lomand, Loch Fyne, Inverary etc

Now the dark nights have crept in, time to think about new adventures for next year. Wanted to see what interest there would be for a spring camp on the Isle of Arran, there is a short ferry crossing from Ardrossan, costing approximately £31.00 return for a motorbike (this years price). There are plenty of things to explore on the Island. If your interested please add your name below:
