I heard that,

the rain , that should be in Spain

falls mainly on the Welsh.

I assume that it's a bit like Cumbria rain . Only that it doesn't put out fires in holiday cottages. Lol .

The thoughts of a week of , wet socks , wind and woodbines. Appeals to the masochist in me .

I've just checked AA route finder and it confirms 8 hrs 53 mins ride without stops from where I live eeeeeeek - on the other hand what an exciting road trip adventure. I'm coming down whatever, it would be nice to have company for at least part of the ride. I don't mind stopping on route if that would suit, so any takers?

BobKat for sure it is a long way off.. as in dates wise but there's a stop off here if you want it... Northumberland Coastal Route.. lush ride and the bacon sandwiches come for freeeeee... Hate to say it though.. cos of Minx will likely be in car for actual journey down
