last night coming home from work i came across the biggest bestest puddle i have ever seen in my life. it was huge (and very very deep) i tried and tried not to, but i couldn't stop myself and i went right through the middle of it. it was brill. it was better than splashing in wellies and far superior to poo sticks. anyhow for some strange and totally unconnected reason xj developed a misfire about 5 minutes later, which gradualy got worse until it dropped two cylinders and i had to limp home on the remaining two. this doesn't sound too bad but work to home is 46 miles. this morning xj still had a cold and hobbled into work on the same two cylinders. so today on my bike i have pulled every electrical connector in the ignition and in the charging circuitsand cleaned, emery'ed and dried them and reconnected them. xj is now really happy and i hate electrickery
Took yet another trip up to Tan Hill, thought sometimes I strayed off the road and was riding up a river bed there was so much melt water streaming down the roads

When the opportunity arises to get out and ride her again
Rode through the M62 roadworks at legal speed, but once I got clear of them I 'gave it the beans'. WOOHOO the old dog will still fly. Onto the A1 but no one to play with so stopped at Squires for a sarnie and drink and sat and watched the comings and goings whilst nursing my hangover!! Then a slow bimble for a while before hitting the motorway again. GOD those roadworks are a pain!!
