Yep. 1st BM event. And I thought I'd packed the tent for the final time this year Just hope this flooding subsides. Is Suffolk above sea level ?

I think you are all so very brave...I have never ever been camping ...so I take my hat off to you all...(I am thinking of buying the stuff for me and my girls after Xmas so that I can actually get to some of these events...)

Have a good time...and I hope you are not washed out...

Can't beat camping. Buy a tent bigger than they claim ie if it says 3 man/woman it'll only take 2. The easy-up type from the likes of Khyam are best. imho. An airbed of somesort is a must. And always lean the bike away from the tent. If it gets really wet, and sooner or later it will you don't want the bike landing on you as you sleep.

Thank you for the tips Rob...all duly noted!!

I have been looking at the 3 bedroom 9 man tents...with airbeds, sleeping bags groundsheet etc all included in the package..seem a good deal but that would be for my girls and I.

I would like a smaller version to take on the bike...any suggestions??

I think Khyam list a tent for bikers. That's what i would be looking at if I were looking for a new 'un. 2/3 man, with a porch for stashing kit. Easy up design, the poles and inner tent are fitted within the fabric, it goes up/down within minutes. They're not the cheapest, but mine (older model) is now 10 year old and still going strong
