Paul,
It really does sound like the float sticking, it's only an hours work to sort it, take carb off, 4 screws holding bowl on bottom. Take the bottom off over a tray or dish in case the valve drops out when you take the float out. Clean everything gently with a soft brush (toothbrush) and flush with fresh petrol before you reassemble it. If you screw the top off the carb and open the throttle you should see the slide operating on the spring. when you shut the throttle off, if the slide doesn't spring straight out you've either got a mucky throttle cable, drip oil through the sleeve from the top at the handle bar while opening and closing the throttle until you see oil dripping out at the carb end. If that doesn't work it's probably freighed and needs a new one. Theres 2 different size pins on the slide that sit in corresponding grooves in the carb neck, make sure you put it in the right way round so the slide drops completely into the carb or it will be stuck open on full throttle. I think I'd try this before dashing out and spending best part of 100 squid and possibly ending up with a whole new set of problems. There may be a custom air filter fitted to cope with the racing jets you've got and it could send the mixture all over the place if you put standard jets back in ie. run lean or rich, poor or non starting and running like a bag of spanners. I've had a few off road 2 strokes and they can be real temperamental when you start choppin n changin stuff!!
I had someone adjust float and cleaned the whole carb out and cleaned the jets. It has a 130 main jet but in the book it says it should be 110 so that's a big difference.
I don't know much about bikes so it's really difficult to like even take the carb off, have no clue where to start by myself and I can't get my bike home because it won't even work so It's stuck at someones house which is a 20minutes drive away :\
It wouldn't start this morning, the sparkplug was black again and then put it back in after 10mins it attempted to start on first but then died and wouldnt do nothing from 2nd kick+ BUT it started the day before on a nice day perfectly fine so this doesn't make ANY sense :|

Paul,
I hope it all drops in place mate but if it doesn't let Ian have a look at it for you. If he can't fix it i've no doubt he'll know someone who will so it'll be worth the wait
I hate waiting, gotta wait 1-2 days for jets and then wait for this stupid unresponsive ebay user to dispatch my item which may take 3-4 days to arrive.

LOL Paul,
I know it's probably old fartie but in 20 years time you'll still have the same impatience mate, despite what they tell you it doesn't get any better with age
chill paul, i am the same tho when waiting for bikebits, but a watched kettle never boils etc.....let me know when they arrive, if your gonna try and do it ya self, take your time
and paul - make sure u get tools etc sorted before anyone comes to help u. U dont wanna have someone turn up to help, and not be able to. And mum's junk bucket (Supposed to be a tool box) doesn't count lol. I remember the days I used to rummage through there trying to find something useful lol
