In the absence of anyone else going for a ride, I decided to do my Billy no mates ride out. As it happens work out quite well, because when you are a biker you never end up alone.
I started by a ride to the Holly View cafe, the sun was shining brightly and when I got there, there were lots of bikes out for such a small venue. There was also a film crew shooting with Henry Cole the next Motor Bike show, which is due to be shown some time in June. it will be in 6 parts.
Then went to the Oakdene and chilled with some more coffee. I met a couple of friends I had not seen for a few years, they were both on classic Ducati's, early 1970's. Nice bikes.
As the sun was shining and it was still relatively early, I rode along the A25 to Dorking and then to Rykas cafe, where there still lots of bikes and people about. More coffee and homeward bound.
All in I had a good day and I am now set up for the Mayday run to Hastings in the morning.
best you do lol we will be at squires spring show if your there and farmyard and the yorks rock and bike show too be fair we were all over the place lol
Fantastic ride over to the Beaconsfield American Hot Rod and Rockabilly show. Lots of fantastic 1950's cars and a couple of top Rockabilly bands brought everyone to there feet. Bikers galore and just like Davidneale said your never on your own. Oh and the sun shone through, just looking forward to tomorrow.
Officially it wasn't my bike, but rode over to Cadwell Park and watched some great racing in lovely sunshine and I decided that I REALLY fancy having a go at sidecar racing !!

A fab long ride out tonight, feel like a different bike with the lowering kit on, both feet flat on the floor when I come to a stop is a much safer feeling.
got the zx10 legal and stopped the oil getting scared of the dark lol...hasnt been on the road for 18 months at least so gave it a good shake down .... notts to squires for a coffee and a pasty then over to matlock bath for chips and a coffee then back to home notts tucked it away in the garage and then a cold beer to end a good ride out.... bike was pin sharp all problems gone
I took mine out for a quickie and LOTS of slow riding and road turn practice in readiness for this bloudy test that is coming up !! Was sooo hot in leathers though - is there an alternative ?
