Upgrade the zzr1400 suspension :) fitted Ohlins rear shocker with uprated spring and with hydraulic preload adjuster, Ohlins uprated springs oil and spacers to the front, the bike is so much better :D
today i fitted 96 leds to my bike for accent lighting, fitted a new remote start alarm on my dads vn 1500 and painted my sv side panels. so a good biking day
Bought a 'set' of stainless bolts for the bike, then realised how vague sellers can be. 1/3 useless size, 1/3 washers and nuts you don't need. What does fit looks good though.
OMG what a great day, had an assessment ride with Redditch Advanced Motorcycle group, ended up in Abergavenny, absolutely brilliant, guys and girl were really nice and very informative, helped me no end. great day out and now signed up for the IAM skills for life.
As a learner who can't ride on the motorway my escapades south have tended to be a bit restricted, cos of Lancaster city centre getting in the way.
Not that Lancaster is a whopping great throbbing metropolis or anything...far from it
...but there's a bridge with 3 lanes of traffic and to get from the road I approach on and off onto the A6 going north, all 3 have to be crossed from left to right while going round a big sweeping bend
The thought of it scared the living daylights out of me...but yesterday...sunday evening, quietest time of the week, weather perfect....why not?
It was easy peasy lemon squeezy! Why the hell was that such an obstacle for so long??!!
I've had similar obstacles to overcome in my time as a learner. And like you I've done it and wondered why it was so scary!!! So I can totally understand. Big pat on the back to you mate :)
Well done, Minnie. Big roundabouts still scare the bejeebus out of me. I reckon a lot of it is due to not driving and being used to them but I'm getting there. Get confused about which lane I should be in and don't have the confidence to pull out quickly if there isn't a ginormous gap in the traffic. But will get there. I rode to Slaidburn on Friday. Something I've wanted to do for ages. Had to cope with big roundabouts, dual carriageways, a few twisty roads and steep hills! Scary moments but I did it
