If you open that photo again, you'll see a red cross beside your name... click on that and it will remove it.
The idea is to click on a photo of yourself at an event, then you'll get a "tagged" photo on your profile... if someone clicks on a tagged photo, it takes them to the photo page of the event... If that makes sense?
