Just hope he pulls through on this one also. Having skied in Europe and the good old USA it is very easy to hit something or get caught up in the odd rock or tree root when off piste. Over the years have seen some pretty nasty accidents on the snow and even with a good quality helmet on you only need to be above 20 mph to cause permanent damage to the skull. Michael was super fit and a first class skier so it just shows things can go wrong with the best out there. Hope he pulls through with the experts on hand in Grenoble University Hospital.
