The safety of BMW's bestselling R1200GS motorbike is expected to be called into question in court this week at the inquest of Kevin Ash. He was killed in January last year after being thrown from the adventure bike in South Africa. Several experienced riders have since described stability issues with the R1200GS. BMW has consistently denied there was a fault with the bike. In October it was overhauled and fitted with dampers that improve stability
Perhaps the inquest will will shed some light on the matter
