Hi loggoladd, I have a scorpion exo which cost about £250 @nec show
It's a bit heavy on a long trip but is really comfy and quiet, it has inflatable cheek pads woohoo.
I had a £600 budget to upgrade and ended up with a Caberg with pinlock. It's much lighter and was less than £200. Shoie, spada, none were a good fit. This helmet got good write up and has all the safety (hopefully not required) both been tested on my fz1 on isle of man speeds. Hope this is of use.

What's your definition of breaking the bank?
I've had quite a few Cabergs in the past, mid-priced at £150-£180 (ish) and I might wel go back to Caberg. My helmet at the moment is a Bell, which has a lot going for it and which I bought as new old stock for about £100, but I've not been happy at the way bits of trim keep falling off it.
I'd like to have a Schuberth C3 but I'm not sure I want to pay twice the cost of a Caberg.

HJC RPHA still happy with mine.

New AGV flip does look VERY good - lockable in open or closed positions!
