What does everyone think of the new ride by wire throttle system that are coming to bikes? Would you really trust them like you do with a cable?

If it's good enough for RAF fighter pilots, it's good enough for plebs like bikers.

But if the fighter pilots throttle gets stuck on there not going to accelerate into a wall.

Wouldn’t like to use it under a low bridge or riding through a tunnel. But the idea is a sound one!!

If you are hurtling towards a brick wall passing under a low bridge or through a tunnel then it won't matter either way really Corni.

Fly by wire has been around a long time in trucks and cars, if they fail, they don't work.
But why would you be riding into a wall, Bizzare, there is always a clutch and brake, problem solved

I still think the ejector seat is the way forward....or upward!

Why does 'ride by wire' keep making me think of a tethered model plane whizzing round in circles..maybe that's where they borrowed the expression from...hmmm
