Hi Everyone, new here so any advice much appreaciated.
I do need help. My brother died last year. He had strpped down his 1963 R69S for some reason. the question : Is it best to rebuild or sell as is. My sister in law could really do with all the help/money she can get, as he died very suddenly without leaving her much at all.
That's quite a special bike. In built up working order it's worth a chunk of money...a quick look online suggests up to 20K ! In bits, is anyone's guess. Do we know all the bits are there and serviceable? Or if anything requires work? Maybe best to try through the Vintage Motorcycle Club...they'll have contacts for specialists in the marque/vintage.
Hello. Rebuild would be your best option. I have a few people I know who would love to take that on. Cant really give a price on worth as it's only worth what someone is willing to pay Good luck xx
Hi, Thanks for the quick replies. I know rebuild would be the best option, and if for myself would be a great project. As it's for my sister in law, then I have to balance the cost of rebuilding against the potential return for her. Pretty sure it's 100% there, but there will I'm sure be costs, and original replacement parts may not be easy to find. I am tempted to give it a go. Thanks again, will keep you posted.
