He should be though as it's exactly what the UK have done today to Geert Wilders from Holland.
Who do the home office think they are banning a respected, highly popular, elected member of a European parliament from entering the UK???
They keep saying that he has extreme views etc.... but he certainly doesn't. He made a film called Fitna which I've seen, that simply demonstrates how Islamic extremists use the Koran as an excuse for their violence. He was invited by the House of Lords to show his film and engage in a discussion with them. Note: the film is about a year old now, it's not new, and it was a UK website that released it last year.
By comparisson to this respected Dutch MP, who seeks peace within Europe, the UK has members of the Royal Family who refer to people as "Pakis" and go to parties dressed as Nazis!
I hope the Dutch government ban people like prince harry who ARE racist unlike Geert Wilders. Let's not forget all the others from the UK who could cause security problems in Holland. Let's say, oh... Pete Doherty, Gary Gitter, etc. It's all in the papers here today, the Dutch (Even those who disagree with Mr Wilders, including the Dutch Prime Minister) are fuming with the UK. Many are are planning to boycott the UK!
The UK government should be ashamed of itself for bending over backwards to extremist muslims in the UK who threaten violence if Mr Wilders is allowed in. By not standing up to those who threaten to cause disorder, the UK have let themselves in for a lot more trouble in future.
When will the British Government grow some balls?

The discussion I want to start here is about the British Government banning someone who is a highly respected and elected member of a European parliament, just to appease the PC-Crowd and extremist minority
its disgusting and hypocritical, we are all europeans and all allowed to have our say, cant have two sets of rules when we feel like it i couldn`t agree more this country is full of people who are too afraid to voice their own opinions for fear of retribution what is the point of having a democracy?
If Geert Wilders was Muslim and had said that the Bible is a facist book he would be allowed into the UK with open arms.
Just like Abu Hamza al-Woteva, who was allowed to preach hatred and violence on the public streets
this man will have been elected because of his commitment to his beliefs and as such he should be given every opportunity to voice them, we all are able to decide for ourselves if we want to listen or not
For those who don't know Geert Wilders... he's a controversial MP here in the Netherlands. He's not racist or extremist, but he disagrees with the Islamic ideology and believes all good muslims should be prepared to tear out certain pages of the Koran if they want to leave in a peaceful western world.
The film he made was to demonstrate the sections of the Koran that the extremists/terrorists use to justify their actions. He wants "mild muslims" as he calls them to publicly renounce these sections if they want to integrate into our societies.
He's got no problem with any race of people, migration or integration - he just wants to start debates around the world about Islam.
Also, he fights for freedom of speech as long as it's not hate preaching (He doesn't preach hatred, he points out facts using hard evidence)
Julie - you're not allowed to decide for yourself in the UK, the government makes the decisions for you and selects/filters the things you can and can't see/hear etc
but we all have access to so much more these days with the internet and worldwide tv and so we are better informed and we can all vote or protest as we wish and we have freedom of speech

personaly Holland can be flooded out of existance and i wouldnt bat an eyelid! but if enough people feel strongly about this they can lobby thier MP's an get parliment to reverse.just shows how more active and passionate the muslim comunity can be in comparison to the average ..was gonna say Brit but they are British!!
what's wrong with the Netherlands? It's a beautiful, peaceful, friendly country with passionate citizens who stand up for what they believe in and their rights to live life how they want to.
The only thing wrong with the Netherlands is Amsterdam - and that's only because it's full of drunken Brits puking all over the streets and being aggressive and disrespectful with the locals
