Today I took my practical test and passed!!
I didn't post beforehand as I didn't want to put myself under any additional pressure - I was nervous enough, esp given my u-turn history and numerous drops!
I took my test in Derby as this is where my fantastic intructor Mark (Spyder on here) is from and the examiner in Derby is known for being very fair. However after riding past the test centre loads of times and having the examiner pointed out to me...it wasn't him today! I ended up being tested by a examiner that trains and tests other examiners at Cardington and I passed with only one minor! (a wide left turn). Mark says to pass with one minor is pretty rare but to be passed by a senior examiner with one minor is even more of an achievement.
Thanks to Geoff and Ian for all your support and delivering me to Derby safely and huge huge huge thanks to Mark for getting me to test standard and nailing those blasted u-turns!!
If anyone in the Derby area is looking for an instructor for test or advanced training then I'd certainly consider dropping Spyder a PM and having a chat with him - he's brilliant at what he does.
Congratulations! Nice one! You're an inspiration for other BM members taking up motorcycling for the first time, struggling with CBT or approaching their motorcycle test.
WEll done there Roachy, Now all you have to do is get some wheels sorted for the Sun Inn meet. I'll talk you you this time rather than stinging there looking like one out of lewiss, thinking I know her??
