Organising a trip to Italy for next June (first 2 weeks) via. France Swiss.Visiting the four big Italian lakes then over the Brenner pass to Austria then home via Germany and France. This is the 4th trip I have done each to a different country or route. Looking for a riding partner to ride pillion. Contact me via PM for details.
Apart from a brief nip over the border whilst in Switzerland, Italy is one of those places I'd love to take the bike but have never managed to.
It was one of the destinations that Roachy and I had on our itinerary for our Great European Bike Ride that we were supposed to have been doing this summer .... if we hadn't bought another house!
As such I'll keep an eye on this thread bad see what Mr Cool's plans are.
DO IT! Please trust me. I'll give you the name of some places in the alps. Just stay out of the cities and you'll have an amazing time, great local people and roads to die for.

Do you know what the roads are like in the North around Lake Garda and best place to stay near Rome is.
Thinking of trip to Italy in 2012 all being well.
