I've realised that the Online Users page may have been causing the intermittent site performance issues recently.
During peak hours, hundreds of members are "online" and shown on that page.
It was, until just now, all listed on one page rather than split over several pages.
I have just changed it so that there's a new "Page" option, like with forum posts. It now shows 25 profiles per page.
Hopefully this will resolve the issues.
If it doesn't.... then I'm totally lost, there's no explanation anymore for the temporary slow-downs.
If anyone finds any page taking over 5 seconds to generate, please email me all the info asap after the event (URL, copy of the "page generated" time and "online users" at the bottom of the screen, etc)
hi Matt , how about if you can have a page per letter!! 26 pages then all you have to do is find the letter the profile online name soz i know what i mean even if i cant put it right !!!else you trawl through 100'ds to see who's on line !
