Please could I ask everyone to rotate your own photos before uploading?! It's creating a lot of work for me having to rotate everyone's photos the right way.
All you have to do is use the Advanced Uploader which allows you to rotate any of your photos BEFORE uploading...
The license for the Advanced Uploader cost a lot and I had hoped it would save me a lot of admin work rotating everyone's photos
Thanks
Matt
lol i can have a good go though :-P
I'm getting emails every day asking me to rotate peoples' photos. It's quite annoying, I've much better things to do like getting the server fixed
must admit i seen a profile pic that is on its side... maybe they like a few beers but i do wonder why peeps would upload a side ways pic adn if dont know how to rotate it why not just ask!!!!
Suzi some of us are just not good on these computer things even when we get shown we cant do it I have been shown how to rip and stick but still cant do it
It's simple JP... when you're uploading pics there's little "Rotate" symbols at the bottom corners of every pic. Click which way you want to rotate. This is BEFORE uploading. It fixes it on your PC then uploads a correctly orientated photo to the server.
This is only with the advanced uploader. With the simple uploader you'll have to manually do it on your PC first with a photo editing program
you never know Matt they may want them on there side, and if they just can't be bothered to rotate them or don't know how then just leave them on there side
lol JP.
And I don't think anyone "Wants" their profile sideways. It just annoys everyone having to turn their heads sideways to see the photo. And it causes people to report the profile to us to 'fix' the photo.
:-)
pmsl at JP on about "dont know how to rip and stick".... i think they showed us that a long time ago on blue peter but remember your sticky back plastic and chocolate covered caramel bar ........
My new camera will rotate the pics automatically before you upload them to the computer. I've always managed to rotate pics in the past using i-Photo.Besides, I've never got the bulk uploader to work for me. And yes, my computer is Java enabled.
