RD & TC,if it's the law I'm thinking of that you want to get round then the easy answer is to hold the event in wales
As for the original point of this thread (I think I can remember it) I sort of agree with everyone.Not that I do a lot of fence sitting you understand (well,unless it's one of those electric ones) but I agree that the banter is a great part of what gos on here and i enjoy it.The forum named as general chat etc so anything goes(within reason of course) but i also agree with kwak although the banter also makes event threads enjoyable to read.Maybe keep the banter "event related" so to speak and not go off on different tangents?
Having said that,it was mentioned earlier about it being human nature to wander off on different unrelated topics so perhaps it will never stop.
As for rubbing people up the wrong way,well,I dont consider it a successful day unless I have rubbed at least one person up the wrong way IRL of course,I dont believe in hiding behind my keyboard.
