It will be a fixed fee for the band which I'm working on at the moment. Unfortunately the band I wanted are already booked as I could have got them at a cheap price, but I have plenty more band contacts to work on. I've spoken to the boss man again regarding this as we really don't want to be in a position where we don't have enough money to pay the band so we're going to charge a fiver to get into the function room where the band are playing on Friday night. If people arrive late due to work committments, etc, or don't want to pay for the band they will still have use of the pub, camping, and the Saturday night band free of charge. Sorry for the changes but with considerably more people attending than anticipated it's been decided that we should have some entertainment on the Friday and this has to be paid for somehow.

Fully agree you can't ask a band to play for door money you need to know were you stand I have seen bands turn up and have to play for £10.00 as the room was empty

got that problem my self JP as i need to go to the classic meet, would of been much better for me if this event had been moved to the Halloween night

If the band has a fixed fee (which I will agree with Simon) and we don't get enough people joining in... then I will personally pay the rest to cover the band's costs. If any extra door money is taken it will be going to the BikerMatch pot. it's a risk I'm prepared to take in order to have some entertainment for the friday.

This was planned back in late June /early July. Had I known about the halloween night at that time I would have tied in with that but I didn't. I looked at the options of moving it over the Kiss weekend and spoke to several people who have their names down for this. They are also interested in attending the Murder Mystery night over the halloween period and were dissapointed that they may not then be able to attend the Autumn Camp. For this reason I made the decision not to move the weekend. As JP has said, it's to late to move things around now, and with around 100 people attending I can't see the need to move it.

Thanks for that Matt. I know we'd talked about it but wasn't sure you'd want that making public so didn't mention it; lol.

Thanks Jackie, you're too kind; lol. I've now arranged with the venue to provide additional porta-loos on the field. There are proper toilets in the pub which are available all night, but there will be these additional facilities on the camping field.

I'm still waiting for them to reply to me about a B&B. Or what the "Anchor Hotel" is at the same place according to Google.

Matt, I phoned them the other day and spoke to their daughter as they hadn't replied to me - they've been away. I've just this minute received a reply to my last e-mail so would assume they'll be in contact with you soon.

Just googled this on street view. It looks great. Not seen one of those "National Petrol" signs (on the building next door) in years.

Really looking forward to this
