Thanks to a friend of my nephew for letting son stash bike in his garage since Saturday.
Actually out on it in daylight today for the first time in 2 months (currently biking it solely at night to and fro work 6 days p/w) and the daylight was blinding me ooer....still it was great to actually see the countryside for a change... and the road!
Met up with a friend at Thirsk in N. Yorks after driving through thick fog to get there! Decided to chance it, so we headed off to Helmsley, and coming to the very top of Sutton Bank, deep blue sky appeared, as if at the flick of a switch.
So tea and cake in Helmsley, then onwards to Goathland where we chanced upon another tearoom with more tea n' cake. Num, Num!!!
Rode back through a crisp and glorious Autumn day.
Had an epic adventure, first to Squires, then Manor Bikers cafe then over to Jens for a lovely meal and finally back home. And most of it was in the thick fog
what ive done on my bike today is,not a lot,but a new end can arrived,a beowulf round model,i bought it at the classic bike show at stafford on sunday.so i will be getting the spanners out this weekend, yahoo.that is after ive been to the lincolnshire county start to the poppy appeal at east kirkby airfield.on saturday.any one can come.
After Stafford show throttle on Calli was stuck at 3500rpm, intersting getting thru the traffic at that!
So tonight I took the tank off and found the throttle quadrant had been sticking, gave it a good dose up wth oil and its fine now, really needs a complete strip and grease up but it can wait
