Can anybody tell me what is the best and cheapest way to get Breakdown Cover for this trip? If I have to see another AA/RAC man I am going to lose my will to live. They tell me something different every time.
Just a few more to go

My surgeon has scheduled my operation (spinal fusion in my lower back) for 13th March which means I will not be fully up and running again to host people by the time you come over. In fact I will most likely be out of action for 3 months.
Really sorry about this. Will see what Chris wants to do. If you guys still want to see what Holland is like for their national day (it's amazing) then I will recommend some hotels and places to visit (Maastricht is a beautiful city far in the south on your way to Germany).
sorry to hear that matt, hope all goes well for you
we need somewhere to go for 2 nights, i dont mine where
we will have to see if madscots has got anything mind.
If you like beer and crazy people, Maastricht is really on your way. Check out the maps. It's probably more easier for you than Eindhoven anyhow (where I am). You'll get some hotels on t'interweb but beware that Holland aint cheap for hotels. B&Bs aren't common like in the UK either.
Sorry to hear that Matt. We all hope that all goes well for your Op.
I am sure we will find somewhere to crash for a couple of nights. We shall wait for an announcement from Chris in due course. In the meantime take care pal.
I think all of us would be of the same mind that Matt's health is more important and wish him a speedy recovery after the operation.
My thoughts are
2 extra nights in Germany
Or
1 extra night Belgium Biker loft 1 extra night in Germany
Biker loft is only 1hr from the ferry port so i feel too close a run to be honest at the very start of the trip. I can get you all the extra night(s) in Germany and for 35 euros (£30) B&B it's cheap as anywhere else.
Holland will be chocker with folk going to the festivals and trying to get 20 people somewhere might be a hassle.
I would be happy with whatever you decide Chris - i am sure we will amuse ourselves wherever we are!
Matt - all the best for you - I had a back fusing op 24 years ago and have never looked back, so I am sure you will be fine - good luck anyway!!
What i did last year was I organised a free day so everyone could go do what they liked.
That meant some could go play on Nurburgring more, wander round the town and up to castle(there is one above the hotel) or go for a run themselves.
I also did a small run and said anyone who wished to tag along they were more than welcome. I made no plans where I'd end up and just went and think to be fair to say we had a ball.
One of the days we will head out for a picnic and spend full day out which will be a guided run by hotel owner Last year we ended up on some fantastic mountain roads and parked up next to a underwater volcano buried under a small lake.
So sure I can keep ya all busy for an extra day or two
