I think Ive cracked the "odd sock" conundrum
I just buy 10 pairs of the "same socks"
Then I can always find a "pair"
When I get down to 3 socks
Its time to buy some more

Why can't we buy one sock?
Buying socks in pairs is unfair to people with only one foot.
If we cold buy socks individually there could be a massive saving in natural resources and the land fill sites won't be full of all those odd socks.
