Rowanblossom I'm not critising the BM event. It's the oraganisers of the charity ride I'm critising. I'm involved with the organisation of several charity rides and the one of the first things you look at is finding a destination with adequate parking for 100's of bikes all arriving at the same time. and matlock isn't one of them. We've had many meets at Matlock and never had a problem with parking because we don't arrive in our 100's. The meet time of 11.30 is a good idea at least BMer's will get parked.
we will be setting off early so we can get space to park all day then dont have to worry about moving bike in case of the traffic wardens lol.i dont mind paying for parking in that case
Went there yesturday and the traffic wardens had been booking the cars so be aware if your going by car, but we have seen them recording bikes number plates
Still no takers for a ride out from The Ace? Billy no mates on tour again!
Had an ice cream at Matlock yesterday on the way home from Squires and it was worth the trip!
Only four members off 100 BMers. Going to be a good day. For all the new BMers, its a good way to meet a lot of us all at once, and is good prep for KISS.
Leaving about 06-30 so can doddle down, stop for coffee keep izzy awake lol Carlisle services about 08-00 if anybody wanna meet up. You'll not miss my bike in a hurry. Names on front pmsl.
Ah Danny just bunjee Izzy to the bike...she will be fine lmao
Lets BM bomb Matlock....come on folks get your piccies up. Its a good chance to meet people if you are new (and we are in public so the chances of being bitten are moderately reduced). Its a chance to have a cuppa, a natter, eat ice cream and just have a laugh. And of course celebrating the birthdays of GBNP & Elliev and in his absence VFR800AJ. Meeting from about 11.30 onwards as there is a 2nd ride out heading there from cat un fiddle at 12ish so parking will be very limited and may require some shuffling thought the day
