I looked this topic up cos I wanted to put members into Room 101 who view my profile then disable THEIR profile but I can't so I stick them in the blocked list, then saw my last post, altho almost 2 yrs old still appropriate. I got my renewal letter the other day and they have started putting the price on, it's £145.50p for a colour licence.
Does anyone know what our licence money is spent on? It sure aint NEW programmes.
the bbc is government controlled. they're the most bias lot going. they can do anything they want. they're going on my banned list after the olympics, just like they were before, and whats a tv licence
room 101 eh?right....audis and their drivers,ditto volvos,ditto bmws(cars mostly) the A1,all motorways when it's raining,speed cameras,crank sensors on triumph hinckley triples,ditto speedo cables,large screws that fling themselves into tyres,small children on campsites,racial bigots,and that's just for starters!!!
busafeller
I think you are ill informed
And just plain wrong
If not ?
On what do you base your assertions ?
The only "control" any government has ever had over the BBC is with their funding
ITV, on the other hand is controlled by big business which is ostensibly the "government"
As it is "their" interests which our "rulers" consider first
In my opinion
As an "ex" media professional
If anything has ever been "government controlled"
It was the press
Particularly the "Tabloids"
Although the N O t W was in "broadsheet" format originally
It's content was decidedly tabloid
Oh, by the way
Have you heard of the Levinson inquiry ?
I suppose you think that is "rigged" too ?
Personally speaking I pay for a tv licence cos I can't handle the feckers constantly knocking at my door if I don't.....my days of dodging behind the settee and hiding behind my door are well and truly over...don't need the hassle anymore.
PML @ Busa's and Em's comments
Hey, Busa have you got a suit?
For when you get taken to court for non payment of telly licence (assuming you have a telly of course)
here we go again....neighbours,bonfires,mowers at 7.30am,reality tv ala big brother, please if you must watch, cut your wrists too...it'll save time when you go braindead.any program that begins 'celebrity',sorry but a celebrity used to be known worldwide visually.
A medical expert who is "too busy" to provide a report for a coroner, thus delay the inquest into someone's cause of death and it takes him 4 months to tell the coroner this.
Be different if it was their family waiting to register their loved one's death.
Colour me bitter if you will but I'm definitely getting to that stage.
never heard of the bullingdon club. just wondering how old this picture is cos that blond one at the front looks like boris the mayor and that would be a good reason for 101.
