Bandit L, Go Outdors have fleese liners for sleeping bags for about 12 quid. So with that and the sleeping bag and the two quilts and the portable heater you might be warm !
Ive camped in winter months and the mistake people make is getting into sleeping bags with loads of layers on,,,jumpers,socks,,etc...
strip down to undies and you'll be warm all night,,,your body will heat the sleeping bag up,,,plus if you get p#ssed at pub before bed it helps too
cheap bivvy bags £12 on ebay,,,£24 ish at go outdoors that you put your sleeping bag into also helps retain heat,,,well worth it for cold nights....
There's now a classic rock band playing on Friday night. They're a new band who are after some exposure so they're playing for donations. This means the entry fee to the function room is now scrapped, but please look out for the donation bucket during the evening.
agree with Craig about key to keeping warm camping in wintery conditions...seems a bit extreme but it really works.
You've got to be warm before you get your kit off though, so got to be a very brisk trot back from pub...you can then pile all your discarded threads on top of your sleeping bag or duvet
It works even better if you've got someone else with discarded clothing to share body heat with
I'm totally amazed by couples who end up huddled freezing in their own individual sleeping bags...ditch the mummy bag & climb in with mama!
tis true everyone - naked is the way to go!!
all i need now minnie is a man with discarded clothing................!!!! (all in the name of shared body heat of course!!!!) xxxx
even after a nights alcohol consumption if possible make a brew in your tent before bed,,,,especially on cold nights,,,it does 2 things,,,a hot drink will warm you up a bit and the heat of your stove will warm tent up,,,,but if too much to drink then leave the stove alone!!!
B&B's,,,,,,,,its a camping wkend not glamping !!!!!!tut...
