After chatting with Maurice just a little prompt to get your camping pitch booked cos he is getting enquiries from....errrm..."normal people" hahaha

Hi BobKat, Me and Podnil making a holiday of this so will be at campsite from Wednesday, will have kettle on ready for those coming on Thursday, or wine, beer or cider depending what we can get hold of
Ok, I've finally pulled my finger out and looked at bookings and trips for this year...
I'll be there for this one, but like The Roaches, I'm going early, in style and in the car... I've a week camping in Wales booked, drive up and overnight nearby, then catch the monday 15:15 ferry from Ardrossan to Brodick. So I'll be onsite from monday 2nd until monday the 9th if anyone else will be there early.
My first 2 week holiday since I was a nipper, I can't wait now

Me and Sara can't travel on the M6 being learners & were a tad anxious about having to negotiate Carlisle.
We now have it on good authority that the Northern Carlisle bypass was opened 2/3 weeks ago.
The route we are taking to avoid the city centre is leave the A6 after Penrith and head for Hutton in the Forest on the Wigton road. At Hutton in the Forest turn right and head up to Dalston (public loo & pie shop).
From Dalston head for Wigton Road and along there till just before the M6 junction at Kingstown. There's an ASDA just near the junction, turn left and onto the new bypass that brings you to the road that runs parallel with the M6 up to Gretna
Bobs your uncle...or in our case, your aunty with lunch waiting for us!
Minnie that road is open now, I noticed it last weekend so you should be fine. I can crush a couple of tramquilisers into your lunch if you want The road from Dumfries up to mine is one you can take at your own pace. It's exciting ladies for sure
