Aaah you are so sweet..not many people would go to such lengths to help others...you deserve a gold medal...bless you! Post yourself on the Nice Persons posting!
I worked in my craft shop all day then thought how mundane my life was so joined up on here. so Hi everyone hope to get to know loads of you real soon!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome Runie!....working in your own craft shop is hardly mundane! Its creative and quite deep when you get into it........or its just paying the bills! lol
Spent all day getting Paprika fixed so I am mobile again and doing lots of jobs that I have put off because I am always out and about enjoying myself..so I rarely touch base!
Have none of us done ANYTHING this year, seeing as the last post was on New Year's eve?
For me I've stripped the wallpaper off the spare bedroom, and forced a smile when hit by a serious bill for a new gearbox for the car.
No 1 son has been fingered by his school as potential Oxbridge material, and I've even managed the ride the bike!
Hi Wills,Im going for a change of career-ive been a tree surgeon and gardener but phasing that out and now doing voluntary work/training to enable me to work with problem drug users.Considering the kaleidoscope of drugs available now and alcoholism on the increase [especially with women] employment prospects are good......
Other things-started going on observed rides heading towards taking my Advanced Riding test.
i am spending today in my fleecy pjs cus got a stinking cold....only bonus is that i cannot smell sams nappies when i change em!! other than that my nose matches my bright red pjs!! hope i'm better by next sunday for my night out!!!!!
I do nowt every year Wills, it's par for the course when ya skint and bikeless.
I've been under the weather for 4 mths, since I quit smoking. I've had a viral infection and various other ailments and I'm still trying to shake em off. So much for IMPROVING me health
I bet your'e glad ya asked now aint ya? lol
Hey Kwak
Just because you are skint and bikeless doesnt mean you have to do nought.
Giving up smoking, i give you credit, ive tried again this year and lasted 3 days, a record for me. I m sure it will pay off in time.
Lol LC, I'm not sure I follow your logic hon'. How is it possible for me to go anywhere when I can't afford the travel costs, don't have trransport and don't have money for entry fees? I'm talking bike-related events here, not a walk by the river or in the park.
=======
Hey don't knock yourself LC, 3 days without smoking is an achievement, well done.
Don't think of it as giving up smoking forever, think of it as not having your NEXT fag, and when you don't have the next one, think of the one after that as your NEXT fag, and don't have that one either. You see where I'm going with this? If you give yourself smaller goals you're more likely to achieve them.
It was easy for me tho cos I had no money to buy tobacco so I had no choice but to stop. Of course I stayed stopped cos I really didn't want to smoke. If I wasn't ready to quit I'd have gone mad going cold turkey. I didn't have any withdrawal symptoms, like the last time I quit, but this time I was very hungry, and cos of that I've stuffed me face and piled the weight on. I was feeling pretty ugly til someone said to me today 'nice ar*e' when I was walking down the street. lol
