Fuggin opticians 'Optical Express' to be exact! charged me over £300 for my glasses, that included a FREE pair, (yea right, I reckon I paid for those too) varifocals and I asked for a reaction lens (in the sun they go dark, like sunglasses, and back to clear again when indoors) how fecking difficult is that for a request? FFS!! Glasses came back with a PERMANENT tint!!! When I said I didn't ask for a permanent tint I asked for REACTION lenses, they told me it was £80 more for that but they'd remove the tint free of charge. No offence to those YOUNG lasses who do have a clue but I reckon Optical Express is one shop that should give their staff more training before they are allowed near the public I'm beginning to wonder if it's cheaper to get 2 pairs. One for seeing and one for reading, tho the whole point is to avoid having to keep changing glasses for reading. The quality of glasses seems pretty bad considering the cost. I expected something a bit more robust. I don't have much luck with opticians Specsavers gave me the wrong prescription and I got headaches.

I don't bother with opticians - I can never read the signs on their windows - letters are always too small! What kind of shop puts signs up that you can't read? It's a hopeless marketing strategy cos I for one never know what they're trying to sell!

What a difference a day makes... Yesterday I arrived very smiley, having been treated to some very courteous behaviour on the roads... Today is different. Today, a delightful & charming gentleman declared that I was a "dozy slag"... My heinous crime? Driving down a street which HE thought was one way. It's only one way for the last 15 yards or so, where the road narrows down. The rest of the street is 2 way. Before you slate a fellow road user, check your facts. I'm neither dozy, nor a slag, nor was I in the wrong. Then saw the aftermath of 2 separate bike accidents during the rest of my journey :o( Take care out there people!
