This sounds like another great get together.......Would love to join you all......just trying to talk my daughter into it

Unfortunately it's her graduation on Monday and we have to travel very early to Cardiff......plus she's flying out to Taiwan the day after.......so might be able to make Friday and Saturday.....maybe leave after the ride?

I'm sure it's on thread somewhere, but can you confirm whether the pub toilets are going to be open overnight or what time in the morning? There's no way my girls will use a portaloo thing, especially not in the dark lol so that will be my decider.
What about water for having a wash/teeth etc.? Can't see us all lasting all weekend without any "facilities" lol

Jacko how did you end up with mud in your knicker elastic at the Drove? I thought I was the only one who ended up on my a*s* in the quagmire lol BM sorry the pub will be locked when we stop drinking till about 9am, so the loos will not be available during the night. So it's the portaloo or au naturelle for night time ablutions I'm afraid There's a stand pipe for water I believe and of course the sinks in the ladies when the pub is open

Not sure 1 portaloo will suffice for the w/e Min, bearing in mind the possible turnout. Don't suppose he will trust us with a key?

XK yup we've realised 1 portaloo prob won't be enough so Minnie is going to speak to Gordon the Landlord about some more.

I'm not keen on us having a key so more loos is the answer

P'haps we could get a few solar powered lights next to the loos?

This might sound like a daft question but, as it's in the grounds of a pub, will the Punch Bowl have any restrictions on bringing your own booze (obviously not for consumption in the pub itself)?

I only ask as it's my intention to use the opportunity to use the
(I assume/hope/trust) Lakes ride-out to pick up a carry-out from the Hawkshead Brewery. I'd be gutted if bringing a few pints of Brodies Prime back to the site caused offence (as it's such an inoffensive, if mind-altering tipple) caused problems with the owners. I'm guessing even the less discerning John Smith's tinny drinkers could be equally surprised if their much more worrying habit became the cause of offense to the landlord Has anyone checked?

Well, I haven't actually checked this....just sort of assumed my bottle of JD and coca cola would be ok lol Gordon is a biker after all & knows all about rallies etc.....there will be plenty of beer sold in the bar for sure in any case but I will check it with him when I ring up about the extra portaloo Any other questions while I'm at it??? Hawkshead brewery tipples are lethal Desres ...and don't forget Gordon will be providing 4 guest real ales in the bar (a couple of which will be more than capable of significant sensory alteration lol) Jacko...watch it...remember where I can reach with my flip flop
