I turned to the Dark Side a couple of years ago, GSXR_GIRL...
Now have nothing but black in my wardrobe.... certainly makes shopping for clothes a lot easier! (and packing a suitcase...)
It is good to reinvent yourself every now and again....
'scuse me butting in but I don't get that TC, how do black clothes make it easier to pack a suitcase?
Blacks not a good colour, in clothes, for some folk of a certain age (meself) I love bright colours
Dark colours make me feel low.
Kwak - whatever combination of shirts and trousers you put in, you know they are never going to clash!!
(Most of my clothes are not exactly mainstream anyway, but I dress for myself and not others... and in MY mind I look great and that makes me feel great)
In a previous life when I worked in an office, I always had 5 identical shirts and 3 identical suits... (I think Einstein did too didn't he?)... saves having to make a decision in the morning... and I know someone wiser than Einstein should have told him he could have laid out his clothes the previous night!
Monotone wardrobes work for me... every now and then I bow to pressure and buy something light/bright coloured... I wear it once, catch sight of my reflection somewhere, go into a state of deep shock, take it off and stick it straight into the wardrobe where it festers for months/years until I can be naffed to take it to the charity shop.
My wardrobe has been predominantly black for 24 years... I don't like rushing into change ;o)
I do permit the occasional flash of red or purple... and sometimes I even have a daring venture into the browns or dark blues! Check me! Those ventures don't last long though ;o)
Ah, I see, TC you meant it makes 'choosing what to wear' easier, not physically packing the case.
That's why schools introduced uniforms, so kids wouldn't be late for school cos of having 'nothing to wear' lol, it didn't work tho, cos the mums take ages to decide what they are wearing
I am fed up to the back teeth with being HOT!!!!! I wake up i'm hot, I go to sleep, i'm hot, I have a bath then get out and I'm hot. I have taken up residence in the bath because being so hot all the time makes it a necessity. And why for god's sake do us women have to go thro it????? I mean, I am perfectly aware I am no longer a spring chicken, but why do I have to be a hot, old unspringlike chicken eh?? bed clothes on, bed clothes off,window open, window shut, I am worn out with it all and HOT!!!!!!! Sigh ( that was a hot sigh)
