ok the nonsense earlier in this topic has been completely removed, it was going on for too long and too many posts were referring back to it.
So... every post referring to the earlier bickering has been deleted (not edited)... including the posts by moderators trying to end it.
It caused a lot of ball ache for myself and the moderators, and i was VERY close to removing the entire last 4 pages (until I saw one or 2 good posts that I wanted to keep (Thanks FJ, etc).
In future, if you feel offended by something that someone says about you, your religion or whatever... contact the MODERATORS immediately via the Contact button at the bottom of EVERY page! Do not respond with essays that we staff have to trawl through editing. If you're not comfortable contacting the moderators, you may PM me... but don't expect a rapid-response as I too have a day-job.
Unfortunately for those concerned, I'm not as restrained as the moderators. When i see things kicking off I hit the big delete without thinking twice. The moderators saved the topic for a couple of days, but they can't hold me back forever
So all posts DELETED now and knuckle raps have been sent in the post.
I ALSO WANNA WISH YOU ALL THE BEST OF LUCK WITH THE RALLY! I'm sure with all the effort you've put in that it's gonna be a great success. I expect LOTS of photos too! :-) I'm really sorry but I can't come over for it as I have other commitments around that time (And we're screwed for staff at work, so taking leave is almost impossible).

Well I've been away for a week.. and although I caught some of this before I went, it seems that alot has been removed.
Having discussed this with other mods and friendlies, of which I am a part of, I am glad it has been 'knocked on the head'
I'm really looking forward to this rally, I think we have done really well to get this going and the hard work/time/effort that has gone into this has been brilliant.
It could be a huge success... it could fail... but unless we give it a go we shall never know. Personally I dont think it's gonna fail..just having a group of like minded people get together camping and chilling/drinking/etc will be a success in itself.
And yeh, afterwards we can evaluate it and hopefully make it even bigger and better the year after..and the year after that and so on.
Don't forget, this has been set up without any initial income from the Friendlies, but hopefully once we have a bit of income we can look around for improvement, and maybe more people will join us and help make it the success it deserves.
Hope to see as many of you as possible at this one, and those that can't make it, hope to see you at the next one!
