Sorry, try again.

I'll be travelling down the A1/A14/M11/M25 and will be more than happy to meet up with anybody travelling down. Hopefully I'll meet up with Madscots and his convoy.

For anyone that is interested have been calculating the distances. Of course there will be variables in relation to where you are leaving from and whether you are staying overnight at the M2 Travelodge. Travel times are an average. Looking at covering about +/- 2,000 kms on this trip.

Surrey - M2 Travelodge - 81.28 kms - 56 mins
M2 Travelodge - Dover Ferry - 65.33 kims - 48 mins
1.30 hours aboard Ferry to Calais
Calais -Gathaus AM Tunnel, Altenadr, Germany - 440kms - 4hrs, 20 mins
Gathaus AM Tunnel, Altenadr - Nurburgring - 29.7kms 30 mins
Gathaus AM Tunnel - Mohne Reservoir - 57.3 kms - 1 hour
Gathaus AM Tunnel - Bikers Loft, Belgium - 353kms - 3 hrs, 27 mins
Gathaus AM Tunnel - Amsterdam - 260kms - 3 hrs
Bikers Loft, Belgium - Calais Ferry - 107 kms, 1 hr 6 mins

Might pay to know everybodies tank ranges. I can get 145miles(233 kms out of my tank).

What's up with good old miles

I don't plan on doing much over 100 miles before stopping and that will only be an issue to and from Germany

By then most people will want a break.

I plan on coming down A1 so happy to meet up with folks at services on way down

100 miles between stops sounds good to me, especially if we are getting a move on... think thats about a tank full, but everything aches by that stage anyway! Cant wait to meet all the gang on this trip - had my bike warmed up today now that the snow has gone off the road!!

Hi Colin, what time do you want to meet at oxford? south mimms is about 1hr to 1 1/2 hrs from oxford. 100mls is good that should be about 2hrs in the saddle.

Ha ha nothing wrong with miles. It you feel happier in miles 1 km = 0.621371192. Easy to convert.

100 ride and rest sounds good to me. Im assuming we are doing just that, in preference to taking a hotel break along the way from Calais to Germany?

How many of us (including myself) are there staying at the Ashford Travelodge ? Or is everyone stopping at the M2 Travelodge. I haven't decided what time to leave the house but i will be running from Buckingham via Bicester then onto the M40-M25(anticlock)-M26-M20. It should take about 2 hours(ish) in the saddle to get to Ashford. Then a quick blat down to the docks the next morning looking forward to meeting you all
