On the ones i used in Scotland it was just on the stand and i sat on it for most the crossing

Anyone know what the provision is for securing birds on the ferry, do they have purpose built contraptions or do we have to chain them down?

there is lashing points on the ferry and they provide ratchet straps to secure your pride and joy :):):) jobs a good un :):):)

Dabe, I'm glad you didn't tell YID the lashing points are for cheeky English men that think we are backward , then we strap them to theirs bikes before being lashed securely to the ferry hehe - they assured me the bikes are secured well YID that's why only 9 at a time hun. Dabe this is your first BM event isn't? There is a very slim chance that Magda (my fiancee/pilly) and myself could make it over for a day but it is dependant on many things. If we see you over there we will see you over there but I am not going to add my name to the attendees list just yet... (besides, I don't need the karma points! )
