Shame Suzi, fog was bad-ish round CMC, went further on to Matlock, was a bit bad on way, but then shortly before Matlock it cleared. Had a cuppa there on the strip and then went back via Bakewell, was out about 3 hours and it was great, could have gone on for hours today.... Probably the last time for a little while to be able to go, getting colder again and work starts tomorrow.... Roll on spring...

IMO fog is the bikers worst enemy Of all the "adverse" weather conditions this tops the list for me I think you were quite right to abandon your ride Suzi If you don't have to ride in fog then best to avoid it No point exposing yourself to unnecessary danger There will be other days when the conditions are better Wednesday looks set to be a good day I hope you get out and enjoy it

Guess I'm very much in the minority here but i actually enjoy riding in fog, i love the feeling of isolation it gives you!
Just as well really coz I went over to Tan Hill for lunch today and then over the Buttertubs pass to Hawes & the highest 2 or 3 miles of the pass was buried in low cloud, brilliant!

I was going to change the brake pads and rear disk in the RK but was stumped when I needed a 1/4 inch 12 point socket (I haven't got one) to remove the pins that hold the pads in place!
