As we live 10 minutes from Matlock we should be able to make it !!!Sandi ,the Fishpond is being refurbished at the moment and looks like it's going to be a big job, so probably won't be ready for this meet up Hopefully the weather will be kind to us ( for a change !!!! ) HB and JJ900 x
Hi HB and JJ, I had a feeling the Pond would be dry LOL I seem to have a knack for jinxing pubs. I've lost count how many times the Pond has closed down over the last few years. We must be wearing it out.
Oh well we'll just have to invade a cafe if it's raining.
I have had a couple of PM's asking if we will be doing this run down,
Normally we would but we will be away that weekend sorry guys, no stopping you all meeting up with Riggy tho at the railway in Buxton ? Sounds like thats the way she is going ...
Ride safe & hope the weather is good for you all ..
Someone give RC a huge hug for me please when you get there
Shell - good idea. Love turning up with a crowd - not a showoff of course.
We'd be at the Railway (end of A53 from Leek) about 12:15. Will leave there at 12:30. Will give any smokers and pillies chance of a rest too I suppose.
Can we change leave time please? Meet at half ten to LEAVE Waggon at 11 at the latest? (Sorry - my maths is crap - just like my navigational skills)
Everyone start praying for some sun, please.
Anyone wanting to do the Holme Moss / Glossop / Peaks run to Matlock please meet at: The Waggon and Horses, 805 New Hay Road, HD3 3YP at about 11 to leave at half past. It's nearly a two-hour ride so we'll need to set off on time, please. Anyone unsure how to get to the Waggon from Jnct 24 of the M62 - PM me for directions.
I might be able to make this one.
I know my way down through Woodhead, Glossop, Buxton etc but would prefer some company as people who know me and Ziggy know he's not adverse to misbehaviour! lol
Those who don't know me, Ziggy is a my lil 125, so I can't do M/ways.
well peeps we made it to Glossop last sunday (on route to rivvi!!) and we went non motorway
via lady bower, over peaks etc over snake pass and it was pretty hazardous riding conditions up there with branches on corners in roads, snow on road, fog so dense couldnt see and constant drizzle and roads covered in sludge...
so just go steady is all im saying me lovelies if you take that route xxxx
