Or they ask you for your email addy so they can send fake pics, pretending to be someone they're not, then try and hook you, as in 'make you fall in love with them' and then send them money for a plane ticket to come and see you. As soon as you ask them for a phone number so you can speak on the phone, they make up excuses like looking after their mum cos she's ill, and you will wake her up.
We used to get a lot of Russian scammers back in the day when ICQ was popular, but that was years ago now.

That was all the rage a while ago, you don't hear much from the 419ers these days. If you get one on your case you can mess them around for days sending them to and from Western Union offices to cash the money you sent them. Photoshop the receipts and you can string them along for ages, then when you've had enough you can find an address for a Nigerian cop shop and give them that address and send them to collect the money in person. Once they twig it's a police station they go quiet.
But that's only if you're bored at work and have nothing better to do with your time, like doing the work you're being paid to do...........
