Last time I saw the roads this quiet was when the fuel shortage was on back in the late 90s early 00s. Funny how cheep the fuel is now I have been told some of the big supermarkets at at 104p a ltr
As a front line nurse these are very scary times with events moving very rapidly. If you ride your bike during these unprecedented times please be careful..ride safe and remember to social distance yourself from.others when chatting/ stopping for a brew. We have to stop the spread of this infection....please ride safe. X
Dear Pilly Chic, I'm sure this won't be the last time you hear this but my thanks go out to you and your fellow staff for the risk you put yourselves through for the benefit of the rest of us both bikers and non bikers. I will heed your stout advice and do my best not to give you any extra business which you certainly don't need right now and finally as we ride safe I hope you will do your utmost to work safe.
Thank you gbear. I have been so upset this week at the sheer stupidity and selfishness of some of the general public who choose not to take this seriously. All my colleagues and i put our lives at risk now with each 12 hour shift not knowing if we have enough masks, gowns Hope we all stay safe and if there is a lockdown lets hope when all this is over we can all enjoy motorbike riding again. X
I was wondering if war had been declared, when I went to the supermarket and most of the shelves were empty. I don't understand the panic buying. It's a virus not the plague. It's deadly to young and old and those of us with a poor immune system. If some people were more hygienic most germs wouldn't be around. It amazes me how many people don't wash their hands after going to the loo. Basic hygiene practice.
I fully agree with everything you say there Sandi. Very valid points made.

Very well said gbear and I too thank Pilly Chic and all those in the medical and other sectors who are doing their best for the public x
I think after this we all need to take a long hard look at the way we all act and behave as a group society or whatever you wish to call us. And free subs and beers for all NHS staff. Let's see how quick Steve H replies lol
The advice, & common sense is STAY HOME not too complicated but it seems some folk are still venturing out just for.."pleasure" ...Listen to the authorities..STAY HOME...
Morning everyone. Well, the applause heard last night as we left work at 8pm.made my colleagues and i feel so emotional. Thank you for your support. The message is finally getting through and people are starting to realize what we are dealing with globally. Stay safe everyone... x
I hear you jp and agree we all need to chill, such a frustrating time now the sun is out. Time to do some polishing and general fettling...and sorting out the waterproofs..as it may well be November before the situation improves..(🙁) but the fact remains certain sections of the community are not behaving as they should and that is to the detriment to everyone..No one is exempt..ah well, back into the garage l suppose..lol..🙂
Well the people on here seam to be sensible but I can't believe how selfish some of the people posting on Facebook are, they are still advocating and boosting about meetups
We all want to get back out to events and riding but as bill said some are just hell bent on getting pulled over and locked up and there bike or car could be confescated under anti social use. You may think this is heavy handed but it may just be worth them thinking about before they go out
well i am still working, but i repair computers etc, and i am getting quite a few from home workers who are desperate to get their laptops going again. on a different note well done Pilly Chick and all the rest of the NHS staff and all the other emergency service workers and truckers etc
hello, i've been told i can't ride out, today (friday 27th), and it doesn't matter if not socialising. just wanted a ride by myself. saw today walkers- singles and pairs. cyclists- singles, pairs and in threes. but, if i went by myself would i get stopped and fined? (new rules many come in tomorrow about the walkers and cyclists)
