Remember to book yourself in with the site Duc. It looks like a good site and the roads around there are awesome. Except the A75 which is shit. The 712 on the other hand 😈😈😈
Scotland has lifted the travel ban from the Greater Manchester area so only folk from Blackburn & Darwen are currently banned from non-business travel to Scotland – hopefully that too will lift before our meet. That said, Scotland maintains a framework of restrictions and Dumfries & Galloway falls in Level 1 (the lowest apart from Level 0) and even outdoors we should only be socialising as a maximum group of 6 from 2 households so, PLEASE, don’t forget that this nasty virus remains at large. You should wear a mask (or buff or helmet) for shopping and fuel stops and I’ll bring a supply of liquid and wipey sanitiser to the campsite just to keep around our patch but I’m not going to police what y’all do, just sayin’.
If it helps anyone, as I’ll be bringing a car down I’ll have cookers, kettle, tea, coffee, sugar and milk which you’re all welcome to, so if you want to save some weight or bulk then ditch your cooker and billy cans, but remember to bring your own mug, plate and cutlery! Also happy to do a shopping run by car if needed.
Woohoo, the more the merrier. Danny and I are hoping to get down that-aways on Saturday to sort out ride and refreshment stops. Will try to put some times to our planned stops so anyone nearby wanting to join us on the day, but not camp, can do so - but it could prove to be like herding cats!
