i've only got the 8th and 15th but later in the month might be better weather wise. Failing that, have a meet up 8th and 22nd? There'll always be someone who cant make the date thats set, so dont try and please everyone. Just pick one and go with it
the egg run looks a great day out..but damm dont they make a big fuss about havin all ya documents in order...license ins etc...and what a surprise the police are in attendance with ANPR camera's!!!
ok... looks like the 22nd March is looking favourite and probably Squires?!
We can always meet at the Sun Inn another time?
I will leave this open for a bit, see if we get any more interest, then I'll put it on the events.
Been on the Egg Run year in year out and never been asked for any documents yet. Police are always in evidence, but you'd expect them to be with maybe 5,000 bikes. Don;t think you've got owt to worry about.
the only reason you wee asked to register for the egg run was because the run was on public roads and so ALL bike had to be road legal, mot, insured and rent paid. as that was totally impractical you now ride past multiple signs saying that if you take part on the run you are agreeing that you have the above. Don't thin that this years event eill be as well organised as the past two years.
That's putting it mildly. Don't want to hijack the thread too much, but there are two competing Egg Runs both claiming police and council support, using same branding etc, on Mar 22 and 29. I'm not taking sides, but someone at either the council or police should start banging heads together hard, as it's only six weeks away. I can see lawyers becoming involved, and it's all a bit sad. The original Egg Run website is for the 29th, so that's the one I'm going with, but how the hell did they all get themselves in this position?
22nd good for us Kaz
Squires is a good meet but never been to the Sun and as prof said would be prettier route.
How bout next time we make it more up this way?i get sooo bored on motorway.
