I just want to remind all the 'experienced' rally goers that this event is aimed at newbies so all mistakes no matter how 'stupid' will be more than welcome! I'm sure i'll make more mistakes than most so if we're close to civilisation we can stock up on things that people have forgotten, ie cheap tents, FOOD, BOOZE, soap etc etc. I'll have a look at campsites in the yorkshire area over the next few days but if anyone else wants to make a suggestion it would be more than welcome!! .
Just a suggestion.........
Those of you who can do fri and sat night (if a one nighter is not long enough) could do just that, the newbies if they only want a taster 1 night could join in on either night or maybe go for the friday if liking it or can do sat they could stay the 2nd????
"simples"
A camping weekend...ermmm, I think I'll pass thanks!
Hope you have a great time doing it though and all those nasty experienced rally goers leave you in peace!
Roachy You sound like my mates wife.
She don't like camping. Nowhere to plug her hair dryer in.
I have asked her why she needs to wash her hair every morning just before putting a helmit on for the day.
She told me I wouldn't understand

Well newbies i've found a good site in Settle, it's 54 miles from Scotch Corner on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. They welcome bikers and there's even a shower block with under floor heating, how posh is that! It's £6 per night and i've booked Friday night the 21st Aug and Sat 22nd, pitch no.6. I'll put it up as an event, it should appear within 24 hours (moderator approval) and here's the link if you want to book but don't forget the kids are off school so book as early as you can if you're going and add your name to the attendance list. We'll sort finer details nearer the time

Well Sumo, when it's pissed it down all night and you've had no sleep cos there's a wild boar sleeping in the next tent (me usually). Stepping onto that heated floor and having a decent shower sometimes means the difference between committing murder and sharing your breakfast with fellow man
