Caton, Trough of Bowland and home. Oh a cool Santana tune to go with the ride.

Hmm,.. favourite roads,.. Helmsley to Stokesley is very good, early on a morning, before all the cars get out and block it up just a few too many solid whites now. Leyburn to Hawes and on to Kendal, also rather good, few blind rises, tightening bends and pot-holes to cope with on there though. All time fav for me though is over Kirkstone pass and down the side of Ullswater to Pooley Bridge,.. early am again.

I can relate and suggest all those roads, we live in the best area in my opinion for biking. I used to do the Congleton, via Buglawton to Buxton, hairy but adrenalting all the same especially on a GSXR1000..... Although, I am still a bit nervy on the Hawes to Ingleton Road, around Ribblehead, after some pratt wrote the Bandit off, hence I was air lifted (bad times). Ride safe (good times).

The A171 leading up to Whitby, and the A169, both great straights
