Rose you are a star and i salute you , especially for being able to have the odd ciggie and leave it again! that is amazing ...RD in 98 i travelled from New York to Seatle on the train, very last carriage was a smoking one , needless to say we formed a family after 4nites and 5 days and had an unplanned rave on the 2nd & 3rd nites that i can never forget! to this day i dont know where it came from but the journey was too short..lmao

It is hard, I took short cut got some tabs from the Doc and was off them in a month and that was 2 years ago. Could be worth a try.

You are welcome Excalibur...

RD....I agree with the live now attitude more than anyone here on BM...hence when I do fancy something I have a little...an odd cigarette now and again is definitely NOT going to kill me! But I do have the strength to not have another...

Everything in moderation...is my motto...

smoking.... for women, it ruins you skin, you get wrinkles round the mouth and the eyes, your voice decendes to that of deidre barlow, your teeth loosen and fall out... very attractive i'm sure also u smell like an ashtray for men, the same afflictions, the only difference is a man can be sexy with a deidre barlow voice you get thin and wiry, becos you light up instead of eating . never done it, never will bcos it is wrank!!!!!!!!

Agree with you Ian on most points...mainly tho because of health and finances, smoking is bad news, anyone with a quickfix to stopping will become a guaranteed wealthy person!

I didn't go any where without my smokes was on about 30 / 40 a day... or more when I was drinking and working abroad they were dirt cheap. There are a few types you can get but the ones I had were Zyban. U start taking the tablets keep smoking and as the days / weeks go on you just don't want to smoke any more. Give them a go. It's nice to be able to breath again

I work with people with oral cancer who have it as a direct result of smoking. They often need half their jaw removing and reconstructive surgery using dental implants and jaw reconstruction all at the tax payers expense, maybe an incentive to stop smoking???? food for thought maybe????
