Started out as scientist working in path labs. . anything that comes out of bodies I've poked, prodded, sliced, boiled or otherwise examined!! That prepared me very well for all the bodily excretions that are part and parcel of my current primary teacher role!!! Have we got enough skills between us yet to form a team and run the universe???? lol

Not rocket science but did work briefly in the Aerospace industry as a research metallurgist, insurance salesman, bread van driver, rates clerk, then the IT industry, programmer, business analyst, project manager, database designer, presales technical support, and currently software development manager for a finance company. The title is bigger than the job as I have a development team of 2 plus a contractor.

Jeeez where to start...... well I started as a cleaner in my teens, then went onto do secretariel stuff in the 80's ( I can now do excel and training for powerpoint presentations)then trained as a museum and exhibition designer for places such as the NEC Birmingham for 5 years ending with a 2.1, after marriage I have ran a successful ladies wear dept with top sales weekly and at the same time worked as a Display assistant in two top dept stores, Ive done catwalk shows (setting them up and getting the stock in), then after Soph was born I ran a seasonal dept, anything from garden to xmas - had my Tom, since then Ive done voluntary work in nurseries, was on a preschool committee, then went into school 3 days a week working with primary to secondary, Im a parent governer, a member of the parents group and Treasurer for Core, doing a level 2 TA course in a secondary school as well as a business and Equality and diversity course and thats where I am about now ..............

Trained as a vehicle designer at Ford's Research Centre. Left to work for a smaller company designing roof mounted air con units for trains and trams in Hong Kong. Then packed everything in my jeep one day and moved up to Scotland just exploring for a year. Started working freelance from home for my previous employer (before t'internet and email was up and running so sending stuff by ftp), spent some time designing driver's cabs for Alexander's the bus builder then went solo again. Now doing freelance product design and technical illustration (and living the dream!!)

Wow Tracey your program sounds vigorous and the learning never ends does it. TeeCee did you leave Hong Kong in the 90's??

Oops, sorry exc - wrote that a bit ambiguously. I was based in the UK but visited HK to see the units commissioned. Yes, that was in the 90s before it was handed back to the Chinese. What a fantastic place! My hotel was on Nathan Road but I barely saw my room as Hong Kong never sleeps and neither did I when I visited. Have some amazing memories of sitting on the dock looking out over Kowloon harbour at sunset with the junks sailing past... I am sure you must have visited there on your travels too?
