One piece of information that i was given that i didnt know about was-
If you break down on the motorway you dont have to walk down the hard shoulder to the nearest SOS phone you can dial 112 from your mobile

Now why hasn't that been publicised???? Bring back the public information films - they were GREAT
These awareness courses are all well and good but my son was involved in an accident on his bike. His fault? debatable, he was offered a to go on an awareness course rather than court.
All they could offer was a car course. I really, really think a bike one would have been a better option. What would have happened if he had not got a car licence? He has been riding bike a good few years and driving cars a little longer. he has had 3 bike accidents and none in the car. I really think the course they offer should be in or with the same type of vehicle
At the end of the day it save him his points on his licence and a fine and the day in court but the course cost a couple of hundred quid and a couple of days off work too.
