I have asked for an impact driver, chain splitter, decent tool kit and rechargeable screwdriver for birthday/christmas presents over the years. Give me a bunch of flowers and I would look at you with a "what the F*** do you want me to do with these!" look on my face.
I have also asked for DIY/mechanicing time off people as presents as well.
