You know you've single too long ... When the thought of chatting up someone is like learning a foreign language and if you get chatted up you wouldn't have a clue it had happened pmsl
You know you've been single too long when you're sat at home on a Friday night watching a Chick Flick with a tub of ice cream! Very girly I know!!! It shall never happen again!
"LOL Warhed, you mean you never asked the A/S/L question?"
No, although sometimes it's fairly obvious even without pictures (usernames are usually a bit of a giveaway - Warhed, even without a picture? possibly female? be serious!) I guess it never occurs to me to ask if it's not. As most people I know online live miles away, often abroad, I've always assumed it's unlikely I'll ever actually meet them in person anyway so it's never seemed that important to me.
Online games are the worst for that, it feels kind of awkward bringing it up if you've played with someone for a while and it's not become clear by then, and it's kind of irrelevant anyway really. The vast majority of people in the games I play are guys regardless of what their avatar looks like, so I take that as read unless I'm told otherwise, but in terms of playing the game one's gender is irrelevant.
Case in point is two people I used to play with regularly for years, I know they're a couple living together - but to this day I haven't the slightest idea if they were a male/female couple or same sex (and if so, which sex) or what their R/L names are.

Couldn't agree more jtb
you know when you've been single for too long when the female post person greets you 'good morning' by your first name when you walk down the garden path to collect the mail from her!
You play too many video games
Getting your fill of video games while you are single is a good idea. When you do eventually hook up
with a girl there’s a good chance your gaming days are over. Don't cry
though: putting in endless hours of Wii antics a night is bad for your
body, your brain and your chances of ever getting laid again.
It isn’t just video games that single guys will overdose on: It’s easy
for bachelors to fall into the boozing, sports-watching,
golfing-any-time-you-want lifestyle that drives girls crazy. It’s hard
to break these hedonistic ways, but these are the sacrifices you’ll
have to make if you don’t want to end up sad and alone.
On the name front, I've had biker mates for 30 years who's 'real' names I don't know, they ARE what their nickname is.
And I've been chatted up and not realised until an hour later walking home alone. Good greif!
You know you've been single too long when you find yourself talking about laundry to a new friend instead of bikes, booze and women.
Oh so true... then again I only play so many video games BECAUSE I've been single for so long - with me it's an effect, not the cause. Whilst I'd gladly give them all up in a flash if I met someone special, realistically that's not going to happen at my age.

Agreed, unlike online names (which are often user-chosen) an apt nickname for someone you actually know well in person (which is usually bestowed by friends, not chosen by the user) is every bit as valid if not more so than their given name.
Yeah definitely Warhead. The thing is I find that video games relax me and I'm not saying I would ever choose a video game over a lady...but I would never fully give up my gaming for a lady! It's my little treat at the end of the hard working day. ha-ha.
Besides it's great most of the women I meet are competitive and love gaming so that's great !!

Dont agree Warhed, not unless you believe its so, good greif dude its not like you're a 100yrs old. Normally when someone asks 'are you a cup half empty or a cup half full person?' I say ' What, you get a cup!!!' But seriously W have a positive attitude and you may find that special one drops in your lap.
Actdaft you are dead right, sock depletion is rife in the bachelor pad.
Well im a widower and theres no replacement for my wife as far as im concerned,My daughter was only nine when her mum died so i busied myself with raising her and Ive managed for the last twelve years ok,So for me single life is good. Im only here for the rideouts ....Nick.
Jeez - how many posts occur whilst a girl is sleeping? ! LOL. Yes, I have slept for most of last 48 hours, but on the plus side - I do actually feel better today ...
