Well, been out today, even if it was 3m to work and a little blast after for half an hour, but it's gotta be done while its not too cold.

rode up through otley to pately bridge. thick freezing fog, ice on the road, numb fingers, nice cup of tea. then up the 'b' roads to masham. steve h conspicuous by his absence but xklbr was there so another nice cup of tea in the sunshine. then we went to druids temple. what a place! FANTASTIC. look on youtube for a tour. back to otley on a road xk suggested. left hand bend covered in mud, 2 wheel slide until i hit the bank just miissing going in a ditch. got home dirty bike. dirty visor and soiled leathers ha ha ha
Oddly enough that's probably one place we won't need em
But you can fit some on your new bike ready for winter when we get back

Got up early yesterday to see blue skies and a big lightbulb up there with BIKE written on it. Within half an hour was hammerin up the A82 by Loch Lomond on empty roads with a crazy grin Very cold but man it was worth it .Green welly for coffee, then back down through Inverary and over to MCS at Renfrew to marvel at the new z800 mmmm very nice indeed . Fantastic day all round
Wasnt today but couldnt post on day, on 1st jan 2013 got bike started with jump leads after it being stood since nov, fuel light on as never leave bike standing with fuel in, thought id just pop down to get fuel, pulled out of home, hadnt even got into 2nd gear, touched front brake gently to slow down for junction, dont know what happened next, think prop diesel on road as wagons turn on junction, but, as said, touched front brake and flipped out, front end went and bike slammed me into ground so quick i have gone over and over in my head what i could have done to avoid,but, so quick nothing i could do, and those of you who know me know im no muppet on bike. Well, 11 days on i have to go docs everyday to have my knee bled, prob going for op as had bad treatment initially at A+E . Bikes not pretty either!!!
Bloody hell wenders. seen the pictures on your profile, you've made a right mess of your knee. its an awful feeling hitting the road knowing there is nothing you can do to prevent it. hope it mends soon.
Thanks Petewick, yeah it sure is, my first off since started riding at 15 and prob not the last!!!! It was a weird feeling rolling over and over not being able to stop myself and all the time trying to see where the bike was to try avoid it, Docs think it was foot peg of bike that made the hole in my knee!!
