You have my number Jan I can talk you in or come meet you some where, touch base with others coming down and set a time and place...do you know what route you are taking from london yet...the A303 has a lot of cameras on it i used to come down to southampton and use the coast road past Ringwood - Dorchester - Bridport - honiton - Exeter...... Although the route finder says go to bristol for a quicker time....the other route is more scenic, I would leave very very early or travel at night otherwise the traffic will be horrendous around the early part of the journey.

Just be aware that the vw club run to the sun is on as well and they are meeting just west of the M25 so don't go that way I think they are meeting around 10 to 12 am so you should beat them Jan. Just remember to take the A30 Bodmin not the Plymouth road

Hi Jabecs Its a long and boaring road going M4/M5 could be better cutting across A30 to exeter jp

See now your all trying to confuse me .... and that doesn't take much
I picked the motorway as I figured its safest not so many roads to get lost on

We should all know our limtations JP and I know mine ...... how I do the miles I do and make it there I'm not sure myself .... I know when i'm on a wrong road though it just feels wrong.
might relent and do M3 and A303 but heard there are diversions on that and not sure i wanna take all day to get to cornwall !!!

Its a good point you make about limtations I wish I knew mine then i probly wouldnt get as meany slaps heading for me lol. Go on google earth and just scan across the route M25 M4 M5 A30. then try M25 M3 A303 A30 and see the difference think you will be shocked at the distance but you will have a more relaxed run off the motorway and more possable stopping points what ever route you take you will be fine cornwall is a great place to ride you cant miss helston and the lizzard road and if you do you just get very wet

Thanks JP ...sadly i'm in the car for this as bike is still poorly and so is rider .... The distance and my wrist just wont allow for it.

was gutted both yesterday and today as all my mates are out playing and i'm stuck here.

will check out the the other option you mentioned though still .... Thanks hun

Actually the quickest route for you JAn is M25 - M4 - M5 - A30 by about 30 - 40 minutes provided there are no traffic jams etc if you are setting of early doors you will be well along the M4 by the time it starts getting busy, just get past the M25 before morning rush starts
